Producing

There are distinct differences between an engineer and producer.  The producer is the one that will work directly with the artists to get the best performance from them.  Similar to a coach.  They will also exercise discretion in what takes are good or need to be rerecorded.  Depending on the client’s needs, the producer may also bring in other musicians and vocalists to play on a recording.

The engineer on the other hand is responsible for the sound.  They are mixing, twisting knobs and shaping the sound.

Sometimes, the two roles can be played by a single person.

Being that Sound & Vibe is largely a production house, we excel in helping clients produce their music, not just carelessly hit record and treat you like a number.  We will help you get the most and best of your time by giving the session authority where needed, managing workflow and directing performances.
