I met Sonny Cool at NAMM in 2014 through my sister, Emily Rogers.  Then again with Emily at NAMM 2015.  We hit it off and Sonny eventually made it down the studio.  One night, Sonny came through with Ivan “Daddy I” Wallace.  Daddy I and tracked guitar from 11pm to 7am that day.  Always grateful for these moments.  We ride hard for the funk here and Sonny is the real deal.  Vocally, Sonny can do “slow funk” about as good as anyone.  We’ve set to produce a S&V solo album with Sonny, but timing hasn’t aligned yet.  In the meantime, I have a growing folder of slow funk building for him.
