I met Irina around 2013. We were friends long before we had the chance to make music together. Once the studio was up and running and we had some songs in mind for her, Irina came down. She brought her 200 year old cello the first time and electric cello with pedal board the second. We had a blast both times and together wrote what I later arranged into a 7-part harmony on “Good Times, Bad Times” and “She’s A Cello” from Bluesy‘s Energy Called Love album. Irina is largely the influence behind naming “She’s A Cello.” Irina is a dear friend and we look forward to making music with her forever.
